Roy Staley
Roy Staley swam for four years at University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and graduated with a BS in education in 1967. He returned to his alma matter in 1968 (class of 1963) to coach the men’s swimming team at Ithaca High School until 1976. From 1980-1985, he coached at Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse, New York. From 1988-2004 he coached the men’s swim team, and additionally coached the IHS women’s swim team from 1988-2014. Currently Roy is the coach of the Ithaca Aquatics Club, a competitive swimming program he formed and coached since the summer of 1968.
